Well, it took longer than I expected, but I was finally able to get the map up and finished.

Once again, I make no disclaimer that this map is 100% accurate, as always you should scout where you plan to hunt and make sure that your inside the park fence line.

Lake Thunderbird Waterfowl Hunting Regulations

Open Areas
  •  A portion of the Hog Creek Arm
  • A portion of the Little River Arm
  • A portion of the Blue Creek Arm
  • A portion of the Clear Bay Arm, west side only (not open during early teal season)
Period For Hunting

All open waterfowl seasons occuring between September 8 and Febuary 15, except area d as described above and shown on the map.

Hunting Hours

Hunting Closes at 1:00PM Daily. Consult the current waterfowl regulations for open dates, open shooting hours, and bag limits

Legal Means of Taking

Shotgun only, utilizing conventional B.B. shot or smaller. Federally approved non-toxic shot only!

Blinds

Temporary blinds only. Blinds must be removed at the end of each days hunt. a camouflage boat is considered a temporary blind. No living vegetation may be cut for construction of natural-material blinds.

Camping

No overnight camping is allowed in designated hunting areas. Camping is only allowed in state park camping areas. (fees apply).

Vehicles and Boats

Vehicles are restricted to developed park roads and designated parking areas, and may use only those unimproved roads designated as open for hunting access. No exceptions for all-terrain vehicles, 4-wheel drive vehicles or motorcycles. Hunting boads my be launched only from those ramps designated open for hunting access.

Parking Permits

All vehicles parked in designated parking areas on the map must display a parking permit. These permits are free of charge, but will only be issued to people who possess a current Oklahoma hunting, fishing, or combination license. Parking permits are available at the Lake Thunderbird state Park Office, or the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation Central Office (1801 North Lincoln Blvd, Oklahoma City). Firearm Use

All hunting other than that done from boats must occur withing 50 yards of the shoreline or stream bank. Loaded shotguns are prohibited on park lands outside the designated hunting areas.

Littering and Damage To State Property

It shall be unlawful to dispose of any garbage, trash, refuse, littler, debris, or any other form of solid waste within hunting areas. All shell casings and other disposable materials must be carried out by the hunter when leaving the hunting area. Damage or removal of any state controlled or owned property including, but not limited to signs, fences, gates, building, trees, shrubs, crops, picnic tables, and grills is prohibited. Please remember that continuance of this hunt depends upon the conduct of you, the hunter.
